VecTripper is a tripcode generation software for Mac OS X. It makes use of Altivec on PowerPC, or SSE on Intel CPU for acceleration and does not run on CPU without them.
The latest version supports Intel CPU, and 64-bit environment. If your Mac has Intel Core 2 CPU and works on Leopard, you can fully take advantage of Intel 64 technology. VecTripper runs 15% faster on 64-bit environment than on 32-bit environment, thanks to increased number of 128-bit registers.
Actually I want to say that please see readme, but it is not translated yet :( Sorry for the inconvenience.
We summarized performances(generation speed per GHz per core) on various CPUs. Max speed is a value multiplied by clock frequency of CPU which has ever been used by Mac.
VecTripper is able to run multiple threadeds simultaneously. If your Mac has multi(-core) CPU, throughput is multiplied by the number of cores.
| CPU | Speed per GHz per Core (ktrips/s) |
Max speed (ktrips/s) |
| G4(7410) | 507* | 254* (@500MHz) |
| G4(7447A) | 615 | 1026 (@1.67GHz) |
| G5(970) | 705 | 1903 (@2.7GHz) |
| Core 2 (65nm) 32bit | 778 | 2334 (@3GHz) |
| Core 2 (65nm) 64bit | 895 | 2685 (@3GHz) |
Source code is included. PCRE is required to compile.
